“Montana Businesses. Montana Stories. Real Impact.”

Our Journey

Authentic Heritage, Modern Perspective

Ol' Montana was built on a simple idea: the best stories come from our communities.

When we started this journey with Ol’Montana and The Big Sky Standard, we had a simple goal: to tell the stories that usually get left behind in the dust of the fast-paced modern world. Whether it’s the smell of a local kitchen in Local Bites or the quiet resilience of a small business in We Are Local, our hearts have always been rooted in the soil of the Treasure State.

But Montana is changing. It’s growing, evolving, and finding new ways to surprise us every day.

That’s why we are beyond thrilled to announce our latest chapter: Ol’Montana magazine.

This isn't just another publication. It’s the culmination of everything we’ve learned from Montanica! and our other titles. It’s a space where the "Old West" meets the "New Frontier." We’ve designed this magazine to be a premium, coffee-table experience—filled with long-form journalism, breathtaking local photography, and a deep dive into the people who make Montana the last best place on Earth.

To our long-time advertisers and readers: thank you for riding with us. To those joining us for the first time: welcome to the family. We are building something special here, and we want you to be a part of it from page one.

Through years of connecting with local businesses and building relationships across Montana, we saw the need for a platform that highlights the people doing the real work—the business owners, the leaders, and the everyday individuals shaping our towns.

What started as a digital magazine is quickly growing into something more. As we expand into print, our mission remains the same: to showcase local stories, support Montana businesses, and strengthen community connections.

We’re not just creating a magazine—
we’re building something that brings Montana together.

See you on the stands,
